01Is the system ITAR / EAR controlled, and how do you handle export to allied nations?
AirHold ground stations and tether reels are classified EAR99. The Condor-22 high-altitude power module and any flight-control payload sold with our Defense tier fall under U.S. Department of State ITAR (Category VIII) and require a DSP-83 or WS3A end-use statement. We currently hold active export licenses to 27 NATO-aligned militaries and ship under our own DSP-5 blanket for the EU, UK, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. Our compliance team returns completed transmittals within five business days and will pre-flight your jurisdiction before you sign the LOI.

02What is the lead time from purchase order to fielded system?
Stock commercial configurations — Condor-08 (1.5 kW) and Condor-15 (7.5 kW) ground stations with 200 m of T-Grade tether — ship from our Longmont, CO facility within 14 business days of a clean PO. Defense-tier Condor-22 systems with dual-redundant power modules and encrypted payload bus are built to order on a 90-day production slot. Custom spool lengths above 500 m, alternate airframe integration plates, or non-standard voltage rails are quoted on a per-SOW basis and typically land between 120 and 180 days.

03How does a flight demo work, and what does the customer provide?
Demos are scheduled on a first-available two-day window after a signed demo agreement and a $0 line-item quote. AirHold provides the ground station, tether reel, tether cable (length matched to your site), a flight crew of two, and the operator. You provide a flat 12 m × 12 m hardstand within 50 m of a 240V single-phase or 480V three-phase source (configurable on the Condor-15/22), an FAA Part 107–certified visual observer for non-CO sites, and any site-specific safety waivers. A live mission can be flown above your facility, your perimeter, or your tower line — with the aircraft operating up to 120 m AGL on the verified cable envelope.

04Which airframes are supported out of the box, and what does custom integration cost?
Fourteen airframes ship plug-and-fly: DJI Matrice 350/300, DJI M30 and M3D, Freefly Astro, Freefly Alta X, Harris Aerial H6/H6+, WingtraOne (fixed-wing), senseFly eBee X (fixed-wing), Parrot Anafi USA, Inspired Flight IF1200, JOUAV CW-15 (fixed-wing), and two custom AirHold reference airframes. Integration is a machined adapter plate, a power-conditioning pigtail, and a ground-station handshake file — included with every commercial sale. Custom integration for unlisted airframes runs $24,000 fixed-price and includes the qualification flight envelope, an EMI/EMC sweep on the new tether, and a signed Airworthiness Release letter.
